Finance ministry to offer $3 bln of Eurobonds until end of 2018

MOSCOW, Jun 26 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Finance Ministry plans to offer U.S. $3 billion Eurobonds until the end of 2018, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters on Tuesday.

“We will fulfill the (borrowing) program, we plan to borrow at the internal market, which is the major source, and at external markets. We still can enter the external markets this year, that is why we will consider the issue this autumn,” he said.

“I think that we will be able to enter the external markets and borrow for a second time this year.”

Russia’s foreign borrowing is capped by $7 billion for 2018, including offers of $3 billion of new securities and swaps of $4 billion older Eurobonds for newer issues. In April, the ministry placed $1.5 billion worth of new 11-year Eurobonds and $2.5 billion of additional Eurobonds maturing in 2047.
